Movie Camera Mounting system

This mounting system holds five movie cameras to record a 360-degree virtual reality movies.

Problem

There is no way to record cinema-quality video from every angle.

Solution

A camera rig that secures five cameras to a dolly so it can move through a set and record the action all around.

Proof Of Concept

I built a functional wooden prototype and found the most efficient way to situate five Sony FS7 cameras together.

CAD model

I used Rhino 6 to create the CAD model. Design details include the dolly mounting point, stabilizer feet, cord tracks, power strip location, and carry handle.
